LG phones started up in 1997 building the first Korean CDMA mobile phones. They then started to make GSM mobile phones for exporting. By 2002 LG phones demonstrated the worlds very first WCDMA phone that could make video calls.
With the mobile phone world still booming LG expect a large increase in LG phones sales in 2010, hoping to sell 140 million phones as they only sold 117 million in 2009. By 2012 they are aiming to be the second largest mobile phone manufacturers in world. It will be very interesting to see if if LG phones can pull it off.

The newest technology is the new Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system, with Samsung and HTC also releasing various handsets with this great new operating system in. LG phones have good quality cameras with on average 5 mega-pixels giving you some great quality photos. LG phones have also released a number of handsets with the Google Android operating system, this is an open source operating system helping to user to connect to apps like GPS navigation. Google Android also gives a much speedier mobile phone experience.
LG phones are certainly working there way up to the top of the mobile phone manufacturer ladder very quickly although it will probably take them around 10 years to knock Nokia off the top spot they are certainly giving South Korean based Samsung a run for their money.
