HTC 7 Mozart

July 22, 2011
HTC brings yet another Windows Phone 7 powered device called 7 Mozart. Ever since the announcement of the Windows Phone 7 operating system took place, several manufacturers have revealed their latest devices. Out of those manufacturers, HTC is still ahead as the company has revealed five devices that run on the latest WP 7 OS. Is it quite difficult to say, which one is better among the five handsets, but it is for sure that HTC 7 Mozart definitely looks appealing. If you are still not convinced, then flip around the device and you will find its aluminium unibody construction like the one you have seen in the HTC Legend, and HTC Google Nexus One. Another advantage over the other HTC WP7 phones is the 8 MP camera with Xenon Flash (other phones feature 5Mp camera with LED flash.
HTC 7 Mozart – Unique Applications
If you are not alien to the latest happening of the electronic world, you would probably know that Microsoft has introduced strict guidelines for no skinning on Windows Phone 7. This implies that the manufacturers like HTC cannot port comparable experience from their offerings, which are based on Windows Mobile 6 or Android™. For this reason, HTC introduced a new application, which is called the HTC Hub app. If you want our honest feedback, then we would say that it simply a modified version of HTC Sense. This app looks like a weather app that features a portal with links to some of HTC applications.
Let’s take a quick review of the apps. With the Photo Enhancer apps you can load an image, apply your preferred filer like sepia, vintage, etc. and save it. Sound Enhancer is a dedicated tool for setting various audio effects such as headphone equalizer, SRS enhancement, and Dolby Mobile. The other apps include Connection Setup for setting up connection for different networks, Converter, Notes, and Stocks. All these apps work quite well.
HTC 7 Mozart – Network and Connectivity
Mozart 7 is supportive of both 2G and 3G networks. The users of the 2G network will get access to the quad band GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900; while the 3G users will get the support of the dual band HSDPA 900/ 2100. For the Data connectivity options, Class 32 GPRS and EDGE perform a decent support. However, for high speed browsing experience, Mozart 7 is loaded with Wi-Fi® 802.11 b/g/n and HSDPA (up to 7.2 mbps). For transferring data to/from other compatible devices, you can use cable-based connectivity of microUSB v2.0 or you can go wireless with v2.1 with A2DP.
HTC 7 Mozart – the Display
As we have said, the appearance of HTC 7 Mozart definitely has an edge over the other WP7 phones by HTC. The artwork of every angle of the design is admirable. You will simply get hooked to the non-symmetrical design of the device. The unibody chassis defines the strength of the built while the huge display screen grabs the eyeballs with audacity. The display of the phone is definitely one of the best features. It is loaded with a 3.7 inches S-LCD capacitive touch screen that provides a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 16 million colours. Other major attractions of the display include proximity sensor for auto turn off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, and multi touch input method. You will the logo of HTC on top of the device and at the back, while the touch sensitive keys are positioned right at the bottom of the display screen. The overall measurement of Mozart 7 is 119 x 60.2 x 11.9 mm and it weighs 130 grams.
HTC 7 Mozart – the Memory
Mozart 7 is a smart phone that loads the power of Windows Phone 7, which you can play with several high-end features and applications. However, to support these applications and features, the handset must include a decent memory backup, which is available to the device in the form of 8 GB internal storage capacity. Like the other WP 7 phones of HTC, this one also avoids the inclusion of microSD™ card slot. This means that you have to remain restricted with the 8GB memory capacity and you cannot increase it further. When the other smart phones are loaded with 16 GB or 32 GB storage capacity, limiting the opportunities of Mozart 7 does not seem to be a clever move.
HTC 7 Mozart – Camera
Multimedia features always play a vital role in terms of a mobile phone’s usability. Many people are driven by the entertainment tools of the handsets such as the camera. In fact, camera is a prime feature for any mobile phone and HTC 7 Mozart excels in this feature. The device is equipped with a 8 mega pixel camera with Xenon flash and auto focus. The other WP7 phones by HTC only include a 5 MP camera with LED flash, therefore, it is evident that Mozart 7’s snapper is superior over its siblings. The resolution of the camera is 3264x2448 pixels and it includes face detection and geo tagging as well. The camera can also record videos at 720p, but secondary camera for video calling is not available.
HTC 7 Mozart – Music and Video
Apart from camera, other vital multimedia features of a mobile phone are the music and video player. These media players can play files of diverse formats, and Mozart 7 is no exception. The device features a music player that can play MP3/ AAC+/ WAV /WMA9 player; and a video playback that can stream MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV9 player.
On the whole, this WP 7 supportive device by HTC looks to be the best among its previous models.

T-Mobile are Germany’s largest mobile phone network provider with over 36 million customers in January 2008. Deutsche Telecom have been going since 1989 and have over 36,000 employees, their head office is based in Bonn Germany.
T-Mobile phones UK were previously known as Mercury one2one who were a GSM mobile phone network provider operated by Mercury Communications who have now ceased trading. In September 1993 one2one launched the first GSM 1800 network in the world. In 1999 One2one were bought out by Deutsche Telecom in 1999 and re-named T-Mobile phones in 2002.
T-Mobile phones off their customers pay monthly contract phones and pay as you go T-Mobile phones. Their pay monthly contracts include a number of free minutes and texts with the customer paying a set monthly charge, if the customer goes over the allowance they will have to pay for the calls and are billed each month. The contract lengths range between 12 and 24 months. You can get a free mobile phone and in some cases a free gift with your contract like an LCD TV, Nintendo Wii or an Xbox 360. With the pay as you go phones you will need to pay for your mobile phone and top your phone up as and when needed, you can get free minutes and calls depending on how much you top up and what offers they have on at the time.
T-Mobile phones released their first handset in June 2006, they called it the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, it’s quite a basic handset but it was their first T-Mobile phones to be released. The Sidekick 3 had a 2.6 inch TFT display screen, QWERTY keyboard, MP3 ringtones, 1.3 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, Email and WAP 2.0/xHTML and HTML web browsers to name just a few of the main features. T-Mobile phones have improved since then, one of the latest T-Mobile phones to be announced is the myTouch 4G, it comes with a 3.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, Swype text input, storage for up to 32 gigabytes, WiFi and 3G HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, Google Android 2.2 OS, GPS navigation, Google maps and YouTube integration. It is a pretty impressive T-mobile phone considering they are more known for being a mobile phone network provider.
We think T-Mobile phones have a very promising future ahead of them in the mobile phone manufacturing industry but it will take a lot of hard work to get to the top five with competition from the likes of HTC, Samsung, and the world leader Nokia.

Sony Ericsson phones

Sony Ericsson phones is a merger of Sony Corporation and Ericsson, both successful mobile phone manufacturers in there own right. They merged in Oct 2001 to make the Sony Ericsson phone giant, the reason for this merger was both company’s felt they would be more successful with each others knowledge, Ericsson being more technical in communications and Sony with their electronics knowledge. Sony Ericsson phones have their head office in London Hammersmith UK with development and research teams in the USA, Japan, Tokyo, Sweden, Lund, Beijing, Redwood Shores and China. Sony Ericsson phones employ approximately 9,400 people across the world and the have around 2,500 contractors. In 2009 it was announced that Sony Ericsson phones were just behind LG, Samsung and Nokia making them the fourth largest mobile manufacturer in the world.
Sony Ericsson phones had a rocky start to begin with and in 2002 there were talks of the merger breaking up but with both company’s putting more money in to the the joint venture things started to turn around with the release of the T610. Trying to think of ways to keep the market interested in their products Sony Ericsson phones really needed to pull something great out of the bag so the P910 was released in June 2004 with a QWERTY keyboard and email support. 2005 was the year the long awaited W800i Walkman Phone was announced, giving the user 30 hours music playback and AAC and MP3 music formats. With the Walkman phones so successful Sony Ericsson phones released their Cybershot range in 2006 giving the user the best quality digital camera phones available.
Sony Ericsson phones have always been of great quality with the best technology. Sony Ericsson Walkman phones come with great features like Album Art, PlayNow, TrackID and SenseMe giving the user the best music listening experience available. The Sony Ericsson Cybershot handsets all have the best mega-pixels available and Sony Ericsson are well known in the industry for being the first manufacturer to announce the release the first 8 mega-pixel camera (C905) in 2008 and the first 12 mega-pixel camera phone (Satio) in 2009. All the Sony Ericsson phones with cameras have great features like autofocus, Xenon flash, digital zoom, red eye reduction, image stabiliser and picture blogging allowing you to take amazing quality photos, you are also able to edit your photos.
Sony Ericsson phones may have had a bad start but year by year they are improving and proving us with some of the best features rich handsets around and we believe they will only get better.

The SH-100 was the first mobile phone to ever be made in Korea and even though new Samsung phones were introduced every year they only sold a few thousand of each due to lack interest. 1993 was the year Samsung phones luck changed, with years of research into producing the best possible mobile phone they released the SH-700. The SH-700 was a lot lighter than it’s rivals handsets and had a very compact design. It has taken them years to get where they are now and it it is where they belong, right at the top of the mobile phone market.

Palm Phones

Palm phones is a smartphone manufacturer based in California. Palm phones was created by Jeff Hawkins in 1992 with help from Ed Colligan and Donna Dubinsky. In 1993 they created the Zoomer, this was a PDA for the consumer, with Tandy manufacturing the devise and Casio being the distributor but unfortunately this didn’t take off commercially so they had sell it through synchronisation software to Apple Newton and HP. In 1995 Palm became a subsidiary for 3Com trading under Palm. With the dot com bubble just about to happen Palm phones shares hit a whopping $95.06 USD but due to the dot com bubble bursting and large competition Palm phones lost its value by 90% with shares at just $6.50 USD in June 2001, due to this decrease in value it was named the lowest achieving PDA manufacturer at the time.
Hoping their luck would change in Jan 2002 Palm phones set up a subsidiary to license and develop Palm OS naming it PalmSource making it an independent company. Palm phones merged with Headspring in August 2003 and was renamed to palmOne with the Palm trademark held by a holding company. PalmOne paid $30 million USD for the Palm shares from PalmSource and in 2005 they launched a new brand and name changing the company back to Palm inc.

Some other good features on the Palm Pre is a 3 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, 8 gigabytes of memory, QWERTY keyboard, WiFi and 3G HSDPA connectivity, GPS navigation and push email. Unfortunately Palm phones released the Pre at the same time as Apple released the iPhone so it didn’t really take off and do as well as Palm phones had hoped.
In 2009 Palm phones had a revenue of $736 million USD and employed 939 people so things are going pretty well and in July 2010 HP took over Palm phones for a staggering $1.2 billion USD so watch this space we may see some better Palm phones hit the market soon.

HTC phones were created in 1997 by Peter Chou and Cher Wang in Taiwan. The HTC American head office is based in Bellevue, Washington, North America with the software design office based in Seattle. The main Head office is based in Taoyuan, Republic of China. Originally the company started making notebook laptops but decided that hand-held accessories were the way forward. HTC are well known for being chosen by Microsoft to incorporate the Windows Mobile operating system in to their mobile phones. This venture increased their revenue by 102% from the year before with $2.2 billion being made in 2005. Businessweek listed HTC phones as the fastest growing technology based company in the world.
HTC phones released their first handset in 1998, they were the first mobile phone manufacturer to release wireless and touch handsets. HTC phones made the iPaq and the Palm Treo 650 in 2000, these were the first touch-screen handsets to be made. In 2002 they created the first Microsoft powered mobile phone and in 2005 they produced the first Microsoft 3G smartphone. In 2008 HTC phones made the worlds first Android OS mobile phone which they named the HTC Dream, it was also known as the T-Mobile G1 which proved to be a huge hit in the USA and the UK. 2009 was the year for HTC phones to releases the HTC Sense user interface, this model was called HTC Hero. By the end of 2009 HTC phones net income was $712 million US Dollars.
As we now know HTC phones are constantly trying to get ahead of all the other mobile phone manufacturers by releasing all of the best and latest technology before them. HTC phones came up with the fantastic HTC Sense designed to make your life a bit easier for example if your out with your friends and your HTC phone is buried deep in your bag or pocket the phone recognises this and rings louder so you never miss call in noisy environments. Another great feature about HTC Sense is when a friend calls you it brings up their social network status and additional info like a birthday so before they get chance to speak you can wish them happy birthday. HTC phones were also the first manufacturer to release a mobile phone on to the market with the new Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system again they are one step ahead of the other mobile phone manufacturers.
Overall HTC phones are very successful in everything they try to achieve and if they carry on like this they will certainly be at the top with Nokia and Samsung very soon.
